Have you ever experienced about sticky feel on your luxury handbag?

Mainly the sticky feel could divide into 4 scenarios. This article will clarify the cause first and the next article will talk to the solution of how to remove stickiness from a leather handbag.

1. The expired inner lining is consequent the stickiness or peeling. In this case, it happens because of its age. For example, LV bucket inner lining or Chanel small pocket Inner lining. Many people are surprised when they knowing the fact of the luxury brand uses artificial leather as an inner lining. However, as we believed the reason behind this, is the balance of the handbag weight. If you notice, for the handbag manufacture with 100% leather, both inner lining and outside, the handbag will extremely heavy even it is empty. However, the good quality synthetic leather is much lighter but still gives a luxury touch like leather. That's why the luxury handbag designer needs to balance the overall weight by a good match with materials.

2. The melting leather edging. This also the edging color is expired.

3. The leather surface was sticky touch. This could divide the problems of stickiness by the leather type into 2 different sub-categories.

3.1 Unfinished leather: The common problem of this type of leather is soaked with lotions and hand cream or grease probably because this type of leather is naked nothing protecting so it was easy to absorb the grease consequent the sticky feel, sometimes its feel like wet leather but not.

3.2 The existing color coating is expired consequent the sticky feel. It found this problem in many patent leather handbags because the patent leather has a thick color coating layer and the type of patent leather coating can be melted easier in a hot climate than a cool one.

4. Coated canvas surface. Actually, is quite similar to 3.2 because the coated layer was melting.

The tips of storing the leather handbags

If you have so many handbags, you need to category them by their frequent usage. If you put all of them in the fluffy dust bag or spun-bond bags, I think is not a good idea. Let see, we have 3 different ways to store the handbags.

A. If the handbags were frequency use. We put in the naked shelve and give them a basic clean them all once a month.

B. An occasional use of handbags. We will wrap them loosely with the tracing paper and put them on the naked shelf.

C. A collection of handbags with not often use. We will wrap them with tracing paper and put them in dust bags. However, the dust bag material should be fabric, not spun-bond material because if we put them spun-bond, unfortunately, we forgot them! Do you know when spun-bond is expired, it will crack like ashes. If you let it like that you will get a nightmare because a lot of ashes of spun-bond will stick to the sticky surface and are very hard to remove or clean off.
