"Noppakao" one of our legends in handbag recoloring work Part 2/3 - The problems

According to the previous "Noppakao" article, the concept of the "Nopakao" handbag recoloring. Here are the problems during the recoloring procedure which made us got headaches.

1. Colorful they are. As agree with the customer we need to mix 10 colors but we forget that edging is a different type of color then we need to mix another 10 colors for the handbag edging. This makes us more tired but it's fine, only to mix and match the correct color it's not a point. However, applying the different edging colors to the connected pieces in the same handbags is pretty hard. This is a craftmanship challenging. For example, when you apply dark green edging is always dirt the red which is under the dark green. However, the effort and patient can be solved.

2. Primer color is important. As this handbag has been recolor to black. We try very hard to remove the previous black off, unfortunately, some part the black is soaked to the leather structure. If we cover the black with a light color, the covered area might be too thick then this problem is can be solved by primer color. We need to apply the yellow or the pistachio green by BT.Primer color: Light grey first before apply the real color which is yellow to adjust the surface's color equally.

3. Metallic leather paint is an effects color. The handbag is included metallic leather paint. If you have experience with the metallic color you will know that this kind of color just like the effect color means you need to find the real color underneath correctly. For example, if you would like to make the pearl color, you need to use apply the white leather paint then cover with the silver leather paint in the thin layers, or if you would like to make a copper the color underneath much be a red-brown leather paint then cover with the gold leather paint.

4. The detail which completes the work. In this case, it means the thread. Even we try very hard when we recolor to avoid the tread but in this case, we need to cover the thread because if we leave the thread as black, the handbag will look so weird. Try to imagine if the yellow has a black strict mix with red. Are you remember this handbag's original color is red so the original thread color is red but as it has been recoloring to black before then after removing the black off but some of the blacks can not remove because the thread is cotton. We can change the thread to match the color but if we do that someone might ask that "Balenciaga" is still "Balenciaga"? Another reason is the cost will go very high then the customer chooses to cover the thread as it was still affordable.
