For mixing the color, there are many factors to make the exact color as original. Let’s see what kind of the factors that I mention.
A. You need to see brand-new luxury bags quite often, website or window shopping, live-selling, see the authentic brand-new bag as much as you can to help you remember the unique style of each brands.
B. Before start mixing the color, let's talk about Color Retouching and Recoloring the whole bag. There is a different point between 2 of these.
B1-Mixing the color for retouching means you are going to do the color in a spot of the damaged area. Therefore, you are going to mix the color which is the same as the surrounding of the damaged area. If the surrounding color is changed to a faded color or darkened color then you need to mix that faded or darkened color to blend the existing color and new mixed color together.
B2 Mixing the color for recoloring the whole bag, there are 2 different senarios
B2-1 Recoloring the whole bag in the same color, in this case, we need to find the best part that still remains in the bag. For example, under the zipper, inside the pocket or underneath the flap. However, if that bag is very old until no original color to see then you need to search on the internet directly to the brand site to see the same model or similar model if you could but if no such things as mentioned earlier then your instinct is the best the guardian. Your experience from A will help you.
B2-2 Recoloring the whole bag in different colors. this is quite easy as you can mix the color that you and your customer like or in many of cases they change to BLACK! because black is classic and does not need to be mixed.
C. Your mixing technique, the color wheel knowledge, the default color you use, the variety of shades of the instant leather paints that you have in your stock, or even the advanced knowledge to mix the color by weighting. All of this will help you achieve the exact color faster.
D. The most important thing, is your emotion. This job is a kind of art if you are in a mood, stressed or in a rush then stop mixing the color, take a rest, get your favorite beverage to sit and sip, listen to the music you like, or do another thing until you feel better then come back and try again. Believe me this could help : )
